CSK also got off to a slow start thanks to a phenomenal bowling spell by captain Saadiq, who conceded just 7 runs in 3 overs, and the Lahore strategy of having all the opening bowlers finish their entire spell at the start. CSK needed around 42 runs in the last 4 overs and the run rate started to build. Enter Saptesh Sawant who smashed 34 in just 17 balls to lead CSK to victory with 1.4 overs to spare. This included 4 sixes in a row from Rashid's only over. Saptesh was elected man of the match for his bowling and match-saving batting performance.
