An exceptional bowling by the CSK bowlers especially Gaurav costed KXIP their opening batsmen Ankit. A sensible batting from Shubham and Parth gave punjab a steady start. CSK bowler Ashish Gohlap was the find of the match as he dismissed three batsmen in a single over ending up with a 5-wkt haul. Some massive hitting by Sagar and Kaushal helped Punjab to post a respectable total of 131.
Defending 131 was not easy and that was what motivated the Punjab opening bowlers Abhinav and Kaushal to bowl exceptionally well and taking some early wickets. CSK almost had a collapse but Gaurav and Saptesh took a stand and showed some sensational battting performance. It was starting to get difficult for the Punjab bowlers , but a direct hit to the stumps by Simit, fielding at point, almost changed the game. Pavan bowled sensibly well in the last overs restricting CSK to 116.
Result- Punjab won the match by 15 runs.
