Delhi Daredevils vs Kolkatta Knightriders match reportNov 12, 2013 03:47 AM | Kolkatta Knightriders won by 45 runs | Scorecard
Delhi Daredevils won the toss and put Knight Riders into bat. Knight Riders changed their batting order and started with Rutvik and Aashish at the top. The move worked well with both openers providing a quick start and raced to 44 for no loss in first 3 overs. Once Ankur and Samir were introduced to bowling attack, Delhi pulled things back with 3 quick wickets and kept KKR in check with score reading 81/3 after 9 overs. Its then the in form batsman Kamalpreet and rookie batsman Prthahyaya decided to cut loose and took the attack to Delhi bowlers. Both batsmen were in attacking form and helped KKR post a massive total of 174 in 15 overs.
Delhi openers Gaganjot and Ankur started proceedings for Delhi and within no time Delhi raced to 52 off 4 overs with both Ankur and Gagan playing some attacking strokes. However KKR bowlers came back strongly to take some quick wickets and after Guriqbal was dismissed for a well made 29, Delhi were reduced to 100/6 in 10 overs with not much batting left. KKR knocked over the tail quickly and Delhi was bowled out for 129.
Delhi showed some promise with some very good batting by Ankur,Gaganjot and Guriqbal and great death over bowling by Samir Parekh but KKR's overall team depth ensured an easy for KKR in the end.
