Second game of Cromwell Premier League Fall 2018, Anchit Gupta captain of Defending Champions Cromwell Champs won the toss and put Ashish Relan's Trojan Tiger to bat first. 

Openers, Darshan (10) and Prabhjot Singh (2) started the proceedings with a very good first over putting 18 runs on the board. But soon in the second over Sriram, the debutant got rid of both the openers in the same over. With early wickets fallen, skipper Ashish Relan (36) and Wicketkeeper Jay Shah (22) took the responsibility to steady the innings and kept all the bowlers on toe. Harshit Joshi got better of Jay Shah at the half way mark, still the score was 95/4. Anchit Gupta then provided the crucial breakthrough by removing Ashish Relan and in came the deputy of Tigers, Ravindra Jain who played a good little cameo of 26 before his innings was cut short by Ishaan Vasant. This resulted into a mini collapse of the lower order, courtesy Ishaan Vasant. Even though there was a mini collapse Tigers did manage to score 140 on the board.

For Cromwell Champs in came the in-form batsmen Abhay Patil (7) and Anchit Gupta (53). Though Ravindra Jain got rid of Abhay Patil in his very first over, Anchit Gupta and Saksham Groverr (34*) ensured the champs innings without any further damage. After both the players were set, they started thrashing all the Trojan Tigers bowler all over the park with a little assistance from extras given by Tigers. Prabhjot took Anchit Gupta’s wicket but by then it was too late as match was already in the hands of champs. Saksham Grover and Ishaan Vasant (9) put champs to victory without any further hiccups. It was a comprehensive win for Cromwell Champs.
