A crucial match for both team, Viterbi Volts captain Anurath won the toss and elected to bat first. Viterbi Volts and Trojan Tigers. Viterbi Volts did a good job in pulling back and defending their total of 158. Rookie Asang and captain Anurath opened the batting. Anurath got out early for 7, while Asang and Sadiq put on 70 for the second wicket with some powerful shots by Sadiq. Soon, both Asang and Sadiq succumbed to the bowling of Ravi, each getting caught behind to good length deliveries while trying to up the ante. Rishabh, Yatin, Vedant, and Mohammed Ali put in valuable contributions with the bat towards the end of the innings to ensure Volts put on a solid total of 158.

Shashi and Aditya opened the batting for cardinal knights. Shashi hit a couple boundaries before being caught in the deep of Aman’s bowling. Aditya played very cautiously while number 3 batsman Ravi was scoring at a brisk pace at the other end. Soon, both got bowled by absolute peach of deliveries by Yatin and Sadiq respectively. After this, Tigers couldn’t keep up with the run rate and likes of Rishabh, Anurath, Yatin, and Sadiq bowled beautifully in the middle overs to ensure that Volts were comfortably over the line as they defeated Trojan Tigers by 31 runs.
