TROJAN CRICKET CLUB

Cardinal Knights registered their third win of Spring 2016 by defeating Trojan Tigers by 80 runs.

Trojan Tigers won the toss and put Cardinal Knights to bat first. Cardinal Knights opened with Bhumik Patel and Chethan Venkatesh. Bhumik Patel dominated the Trojan Tigers bowlers from the start of the innings and was well supported by Chethan Venkatesh at the other end in their partnership of 135 runs for the first wicket. Last over onslaught by Bhumik Patel, took the Cardinal Knights to a total of 160 overs in 15 overs and in the process Bhumik Scored his 1^st century at Cromwell.

Bhumik Patel scored 110* of 53 balls.

Sagar Agarwal was the only bowler from Trojan Tigers to take a wicket for Trojan Tigers.

Chasing 161 of 15 overs, Trojan Tigers opened the innings with Gaganjot Singh and Prabhanshu Agrawal. Tejas Bhedi and Vaibhav Oberoi bowled a great spell to restrict Trojan Tigers to 19-2 in 4 overs. Mayur Shah and Vikas Rajgopal piled on more pressure on Trojan Tigers by taking 2 wickets each in their spell of 4 overs, putting Cardinal Knights on their way to huge win. Siddarth Thakur showed some resistance by scoring 26 of 15 balls. Once he was caught behind by Vikas Rajgopal off Rudraksh Mehra, Yuvraj Talwar took a hat trick in the next over to wrap up the Trojan Tigers innings for 80 runs in 12 overs.

Yuvraj Talwar took 3 wickets, Vaibhav Oberoi, Vikas Rajgopal and Mayur Shah took 2 wickets each and Rudraksh Mehra took a wicket for Cardinal Knights.

Bhumik Patel was declared Man of the Match for his wonderful knock of 110*(53).
