Cardinal Knights vs Marshall Sixers match reportMar 07, 2015 04:45 AM | Cardinal Knights won by 6 wickets | Scorecard
Cardinal Knights won the game against Marshall Sixers by 6 wickets.
Marshall Sixers won the toss and opted to bat first. The openers played confidently and the score raced to 38 in 3 overs. Despite losing Nivian (16 in 10) in the 4th over, Kamalpreet (48 from 26) continued playing some delightful strokes and kept the scoreboard moving at a healthy rate. He was well supported by Vikas (49* from 34) who played patiently and accelerated at the end by hitting 4 sixes in the last over of the innings. Marshall Sixers finished at 151/5 in 15 overs.
Chasing 152 was not going to be an easy task for the Knights. But their openers Sushil (55 from 22) & Vinith (16 from 18) had other ideas as they blazed away and set up the chase perfectly by scoring 70 runs in the first 5 overs. Sushil carried his form from the previous game and dominated the bowling as he found the boundaries regularly. Cameo performances from Ankit (16 from 7), Kaushal (22 from 18), and Dinesh (20* from 11) helped the Knights secure a comfortable 6 wicket victory in 13.2 overs. Nivian picked up 2 wickets for the Sixers.
Sushil Premjani was awarded the Man of the Match for his steady bowling and brisk batting.
