Kolkatta Knightriders vs Kings XI Punjab FALL match reportNov 07, 2014 04:13 PM | Kolkatta Knightriders won by 9 wickets | Scorecard
Punjab won the toss elected to bat first. The openers Pawan and Dinesh mixed caution with agression and got Punjab off to a steady start. Rutvik got the first breakthrough for KKR by getting Pavan off a very good catch taken by KKR wickekeeper Venkata. It brough Punjab skipper Shubham to the crease who looked in great touch when he hoiked Tarun for a six of the first ball he faced. Tarun went on to have the last laugh when he rattled Shubham's stumps in the same over. Some very good bowling by KKR bowlers saw Punjab loose wickets in flurry . Sagar played a sensible knock (29) to help Punjab post a respectable 118 in their allocated 15 overs.
KKR opened batting with Sushil and Kamal and lost Sushil early without much on the board but Kamalpreet carried on scored a classy 59* laced with 5 well struck sixes. He was ably supported by Vaibhav Khanna who played a patient knock of 21* in his debut game. KKR won the game by 9 wickets with 2.3 overs to spare.
